Make sure your move starts with a call to your new utility company a month before you’re ready to go. They’ll give you a new account number for your new home and make sure you’ve got electricity and natural gas when you need it.
Transfer your service: When you call your utility to set up a new account, they will handle the transfer of service for you; or give us a call and we’ll be happy to help.
If you’re staying in the same service area, the only thing that will change is your address – you’ll keep the same contract and the same low energy price you’re paying today.
If you’re moving to a new service area, you’ll be able to sign up for a new Spark Energy plan without paying an early termination fee on your existing contract. Just make sure and cancel your service at your existing residence before moving.
