Charity Highlight: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Team Spark Saddles Up for the BP MS 150
Spark Energy regularly looks for opportunities to give back to our community, and 2018 has been no different. We’ve participated in a variety of wonderful charitable events and organizations, including being a 2018 sponsor of The Woods 5K.
Most recently, we participated in the BP MS 150, an event that benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. On April 11th, 2018, Spark Energy employees donned their team jerseys and laced up their sneakers to make the two-day cycling trek from Houston to Austin for the BP MS 150.
What is the BP MS 150?
Organized by the National MS Society, the BP MS 150 is a two-day, 180-mile cycling ride that kicks off in Houston and finishes in Austin. With around 10,000 riders and 2,000 volunteers, the two-day event is truly a sight to behold.
Day One begins bright and early, ending at the Fayette County Fairgrounds for an overnight stay in La Grange. Sponsored by Bike Barn, riders enjoyed food, brews, and rest. After enjoying an early breakfast, Day Two kicks off with riders saddling back up to complete the ride to the finish line in Austin.

Why the BP MS 150?
and wellness of our employees, not to mention that of our friends and family. With these values in mind, the BP MS 150 felt like the perfect fit for us.
Not only are we proud to give back to our community, but we’re proud to work with outstanding people who are willing to give their time to a worthy cause. From raising money for an important cause of enjoying the fresh air while bonding with members of the Spark Energy family, the BP MS 150 was a ride we won’t soon forget. We look forward to participating for many years to come!
