You agree to enroll in the optional Spark Energy Surge Protection Plan with a monthly payment of $4.99 per month that will reflect as a separate line item on your monthly Spark Electricity bill. This plan will reimburse up to $2,000 annually to repair or replace electronics, that can be plugged into any electrical outlet within your home, damaged by an electric surge. If you choose to stop your protection, there is no cancellation fee. This plan also allows reimbursements up $120 for technician trip/visit charges for inspection of larger electronics which will be applied to your annual coverage amount. There is an initial 30-day waiting period for claims to be submitted from date of enrollment into this protection plan. This contract is not a contract for insurance and is not insured; it is a Service Agreement that is backed by the full faith and credit of Spark Energy. Electricity Service is not subject to disconnection for the nonpayment of Service Agreement charges. If payment to the electric bill that contains both charges, Service Agreement charges and energy charges, the payment will be applied typically to the oldest electric charges first, but always consistent with applicable state regulatory guidance.
