Spark and The Boys & Girls Clubs: Helping Nurture the Future

We all know that kids are the future, and what better way to ensure that we have a prosperous one than mentoring and nurturing the children that will go on to create it? That is why Spark Energy is proud to collaborate with The Boys and Girls Club of America, an organization that has been around for more than a century and is devoted to encouraging young people to succeed and enabling them to become caring, productive, and responsible citizens.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of America serve nearly 4 million young people annually and are composed of a total of 4,300 clubs throughout the country. They provide children with fun and healthy environments in which they are able to engage in a variety of activities, as well as build meaningful relationships. Their mission is to enable every single young person who enters one of the clubs to reach their full potential by providing them with rich and positive experiences, as well as put them on track to graduate high school and plan their futures.

Spark employees were able to get involved with this great organization by volunteering. During this time, they helped the club in any aspect that was necessary, from food distribution to being hands-on in classrooms. All of the employees had the opportunity to interact with and participate in a variety of activities with the children all while getting to know them and encouraging them to do their best.

The kids were amazing, and the entire experience was fun and rewarding. Special thanks to every employee who went out and participated in this volunteering event, and to the Boys and Girls Club for inviting us.
