Beginning in December of 2014, Spark Energy began sending its Connecticut Customers our regular quarterly electric supplier disclosures.  This letter discloses a customer’s current electric supply rate, the customer’s contract type (fixed or variable), and the electric supply rate offered by the customer’s local utility.

I already knew all of this information. Why am I receiving a notice?

Great!  No action is required on your part.  The notice is required by PURA in CT to help electricity customers remain informed about the status of their contracts with alternative electricity suppliers.

The notice says I’m on a variable contract.  How can I lock in a fixed rate?
