NEW NATURAL GAS OPTION FOR OHIOANS THIS WINTER
Spark Energy offers price certainty plus tips, tools to save energy

Houston, TX (November 8, 2011) – Predictions call for normal to below-normal temperatures in Ohio this winter, which anyone who’s wintered in the state knows means – “BRRRR!” With temperatures already dropping faster than the autumn leaves, retail energy provider Spark Energy has begun offering residential natural gas service across much of Ohio, giving homeowners the chance to lock in their natural gas prices for 12 months to avoid volatile winter natural gas bills.

“Peak-season natural gas prices can change rapidly and make a dent in your wallet if you don’t have a fixed-price plan,” said Phil Tonge, President of Spark Energy. “Locking in your natural gas price can be very helpful in keeping winter heating bills manageable.”

Spark Energy has been supplying natural gas and electricity to homes and businesses since 1999, and has recently introduced both residential and business natural gas pricing plans in the Columbia Gas of Ohio and Dominion East Ohio service areas. The company currently serves more than half-a-million residential customer equivalents in 17 states, and was one of only three retail energy providers to score five out of five circles in a recent JD Power and Associates study on customer satisfaction.

Spark Energy even gives consumers the ability to sign on for service using their smartphone.
